Caleb McLaughlin, Editor in Chief- Caleb McLaughlin is a senior at Fairview High School and serves as the Tiger Roar Newspaper’s editor in chief. McLaughlin wishes to attend an out-of-state university with a double major in writing and psychology, and endeavors to pursue a career as a novelist post-college. He is an assistant captain on the Fort LeBoeuf hockey team–where he plays as one-half of the team’s goaltending tandem–but is also an avid reader, writer, and illustrator. McLaughlin has also completed the first draft of his debut novel, which numbers some three hundred pages and over 200,000 words. In five years, Caleb McLaughlin expects to have graduated from college and started to market the final draft of his book.
Luke Frigon, Assistant Editor- Luke Frigon is a senior at Fairview High and is a contributing member of the Tiger Roar Newspaper, serving as an editor. Luke plans to attend Gettysburg College or Penn State University in the fall. He plans to earn a degree in secondary education or college professing. Luke enjoys reading, United States history, spending time with his girlfriend, and eating. In five years, Luke plans to finish up his education post-high school and get a job teaching high school or college.
Josh McMahan, Journalist/ Webmaster- Josh McMahan is an energetic and positive worker that strives for perfection (even though he often falls short of it). He loves video games and aims to pursue the Game Designer career. He has attended Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Southern California for game development and design classes. He also plays on the Fairview Tennis Team as a doubles player, loves to bake, and adores every kind of food available!
Jessica Laser, Journalist- Jessica Laser is a junior and enjoys writing. Writing since she was 12 years old, Jessica has changed and developed her technique, although her favorite area has always been poetry. Watching movies, camping, and volunteering are a few of the many activities she partakes in during her down time. During school, Jessica is an avid member of the art club and the Lead and Seed program. Her favorite band is Three Days Grace, but she enjoys all types of music except Opera. In five years, Jessica hopes to be pursuing a degree in Occupational Therapy and publish true crime novels.
Jessica Minneci, Journalist- Jessica Minneci is a junior, and she is visually impaired. Despite her disability, Jessica strives to live life to the fullest both in and outside of school. In school, Jessica works hard and participates in both National Honor Society and Art Club. Additionally, she enjoys singing for the Young peoples Chorus of Erie. Jessica and her choir friends take delight in singing songs to their audiences in many different languages. Jessica is also an avid reader and enjoys reading science fiction novels. In five years, Jessica hopes to share her love of reading with others by becoming an English teacher.
